The attractiveness of lightweight CFRP struts can be significantly increased if they are offered as ready-made struts.
For this purpose, it is necessary to provide them with appropriate interface elements with which the superior mechanical properties of the material can best be utilized.
The development of customized interface elements is a major task of Schütze GmbH & Co. KG and has contributed greatly to the spread of lightweight struts.
The large number of interface elements developed here includes metallic threaded inserts that are subsequently bonded into the rods, but also conical threaded inserts in which the force transmission is based solely on clamping.
